Who am I and why should you listen to me??

I’ve been “in the trenches” of the exercise industry for quite some time (some folks might say I’m a “fossil” in the fitness world!). I hold a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and have nearly 25 years experience teaching fitness and exercise. I have helped hundreds of women over the years lose body fat, tone their muscles, and skim inches off their trouble spots.

Yes, I have the credentials and experience to be labeled a “fitness expert” , but the real reason you should listen to me is: I am a woman just like you. I was born at the tail end of the baby boom. My body isn’t the same as when I was 25 years old. I have kids, I run a business, I run my household, I volunteer–I juggle a lot of roles daily, just like you. I am right there in the trenches with you as we battle menopausal issues that can sabotage efforts to stay in shape (you can stick pre-peri-or post- in front of the word menopausal—we’re all on the continuum somewhere!!). I am YOU!

It seems that everyone has a coach these days–executives, athletes, business owners–you name it. Why not boomer women? I would be honored to be YOUR fitness coach. This blog can be our little area to converse and share ideas, and it offers me the opportunity to give you workout ideas and motivation to get yourself in fabulous shape. I can teach you how you can fight post menopausal weight gain with smart eating (good food—not ‘rabbit food”!), and smart exercise (kiss endless hours in the gym good bye!).

Although we’re all getting a little older every day, being a baby boomer doesn’t mean we have to sit back and become “old”. We boomer women are NOT the matronly 40, 50 and 60 year olds of our mother’s and grandmother’s generations!

I can’t wait to coach you to success! You CAN be leaner, you CAN lose stubborn belly fat, you CAN look younger and feel sexier.

C’mon, let’s not get OLD, girls, let’s show the world that women in the boomer generation aren’t the dowdy matrons of yesteryear. We’re fit and we’re fabulous!
